Nipa Thai: A Quiet Sense of Thailand, Crafted with Beiriz
Tucked within Royal Lancaster London, opposite Hyde Park, Nipa Thai has been serving the most authentic Thai cuisine in the city for over 25 years. Independently owned and deeply rooted in Thai tradition, the restaurant is recognised for its handcrafted teak interiors, its all-female, all-Thai kitchen, and an atmosphere that feels genuinely transportive — a hidden gem in the heart of London.
For Beiriz, contributing to this project meant something distinct.
Spaces built on authenticity, like Nipa Thai, require a particular sensitivity. Every material, every texture, and every detail had already been considered with care, and our role was to bring rugs that would respect this identity rather than compete with it.
The bespoke rugs developed for Nipa Thai were conceived to complement the restaurant's warm, refined atmosphere. Balancing the richness of the teak interiors with softness, texture and comfort underfoot, each piece was crafted to feel like a natural extension of the space — present, but never imposing.
Working closely within the existing character of the restaurant, our team focused on creating rugs that would support the experience as a whole, adding depth and warmth without disrupting the authenticity that defines Nipa Thai.
The result is a space where craftsmanship moves quietly between disciplines — from the kitchen to the architecture to the rugs underfoot — each element shaped with the same dedication to tradition and detail.
